Aftar/Iftar Supplications

Iftar Supplication (افطار کی دعاء)

اَللَّهُمَّ لَکَ صُمْتُ وَعَلَی رِزْقِکَ اَفْطَرْتُ

O Allah! for Thou I fasted, and with thine Rizq(Blessing) I 

breakfast.
                                                                                     

ﺫَﮬَﺐَ ﺍﻟﻈَّﻤْﺄُ ﻭَﺍﺑْﺘَّﻠَﺖِ ﺍﻟْﻌُﺮُﻭﻕُ ﻭَﺛَﺒَﺖَ ﺍلْاَﺟرُ ﺇِﻥ ﺷﺎﺀ اللہُ تَعَالیٰ

Thirst is gone, the arteries are moist, & the reward is sure, if 

Allah wills.

Note:- There is one more Dua for Iftar, moreover, Other prayers 

regarding iftar are fabricated, they have no source in Sahih Hadith. 

& there are some words added in above given supplication 

e.g. (و بک آمنت وعلیک توكلت) which are innovations too, 

and must not be said.

The Dua for making intention for Fasting is also invention

 ( وَ بِصَومَ غَدٕ نَوَیتُ مِن شَھرِ رَمَضان),

 intention must be made in Heart, which will suffice, for Allah

listens our Hearts too. Therefore intending Fast must be in heart.
